Aging Mommy - Yeah, not my favorite. Kindergarten is sweet, but it's a slow, downhill roll from there.
Ann - Yeah, it might be worse seeing your kids deal with it because you really want to start leveling these little brats with your grown up intellect and vocabulary . . .but you can't. So you have to stay in the background and offer advice when its asked for (and not a moment sooner). All I can say is, some things never change.
Yikes about the middle school. I'm so glad I was homeschooled through my middle school years. Not that high school was great, but I feel I missed out on a lot of drama. I hope that passes for you sooner than 1,000+ days!
Oh, middle school. Or junior high. Or whatever euphemism for "hell" we're using these days. I might move the family to a school-less tropical island for those years. Sure, my kid might be stuck in remedial classes all during high school, but it will be WORTH IT.
Sorry for the loss of your dishwasher, but glad you found it within you to curse it all the way to the curb! You go girl..and get some good gloves, you don't want pruny hands!
Please keep your e-mails to charming stories and recipes for really great food. Don't send anything that you wouldn't want your mother to see or wouldn't want widely publicized on the internet. Naked pictures will not be returned and may be sold to local perverts if I get strapped for cash.
Yeah, I read, but my blogroll is getting too long. Go here for some swell readin:
16 Your comments, banter and witty repartee:
Middle school years are the longest years of their (and your) lives. Ugh. And I disliked the middle school teachers even more than the kids.
Lin - They are the worst. I just got one over the hump now another is coming up the curve.
I hate everything about middle school, the name "middle school", the teachers, the subjects, and the kids too!
Hmmm...sounds as if I have a few years to not look forward to with school :-)
I write nostalgic/painful middle school stuff from my own perspective, but I can't imagine what it will be like to watch my kids go through it.
